This Week at Calvin 11/29/30

Calvin Church, 326 7 th St SE, welcomes all who are looking for a church family to worship, learn and
fellowship with us. Sunday School classes for all ages begin at 9:00 AM. Worship begins at 10:00 AM
celebrating the First Week of Advent lighting the candle of hope. As we light this candle, may our hearts
ignite with the flame of hope, illuminating our path through this Advent season. Songs of Hope include:
“Angels We Have Heard on High”, “He Came Down That We Might Have Hope,” “My Soul Cries Out”,
and “Song of Hope”.
Pastor Brian Hofman’s text for this Sunday is Isaiah 11: 1-16; “a shoot will come up rom the stump of
Jesse.” During the offertory, Lyn Bulthuis will lead us in singing “Lo, How A Rose E’er Blooming”.
After the offertory, the children meet with Pastor Brian for an interesting Children’s Sermon. Then they
are dismissed to Children’s Worship led by Kaitlyn Visscher.
This week Calvin has the pleasure of leading worship services at the Pride Group (9:30), Brentwood

over and on Thursday the Franklin 5 th graders walk to the church.
The Afternoon Bible Study meets at 1:30 on Wednesday with the Lesson 6 “Angels and Guidance” led by
