Calvin Church, 326 7th St SE, welcomes all who are looking for a church family to worship, learn and
fellowship with us. Sunday School classes for all ages begin at 9:00 AM. Come join us in the Fellowship
Hall where prepared teachers will meet you to join in learning more about our faithful God. Worship
begins at 10:00 AM. Pastor Brian Hofman is on vacation this week. Mr. Matt Wentz will lead us in
worship. Miriam Hector will provide the prelude and accompany “Sing to the King”, “Wonderful Grace
of Jesus” with Inez Hoogeveen on the piano and Miriam on the organ, “We Give Thee but Thine Own”,
“Ancient Words”, and “Lead Me, Guide Me”.
After the offertory, the children will be dismissed to Children’s Worship led by Kaitlyn Visscher.
The Special Offering for this month is for Josh’s Ride Custom Bikes for Special Kids: Because every child
deserves to ride a bike! Their purpose is to see to it that every child in Le Mars and Plymouth County
with special needs can receive a custom-built tricycle/bicycle.
Wednesday, October 18th, the Afternoon Bible Study meets at 1:30 in the Fellowship Hall.
Calvin welcomes Lifewise Academy to our facilities. On Wednesday the Kluckhohn 5th graders are bused
over and on Thursday the Franklin 5th graders walk to the church.
October is Pastor Appreciation month. Take some time to thank the Pastor for his care and leadership
at Calvin. There is a tree by the coffee table to place a note, gift card, or something else of your
choosing.
The church office is open every morning from 10 to noon. If you have any prayer requests and
concerns you like included in the bulletin, please direct them to our church secretary at 712-546-4767.
