Calvin Christian Reformed Church located at 326 7 th St SE. invites you to join them in worship of the one

This Sunday Mr. Dan Tracy from Orange City will lead us in worship. His message comes from the book
of Malachi. Miriam Hector will lead us into worship with a prelude on the grand piano. The All For Him
praise team leads in singing of “Yet Not I But Through Christ in Me”, “Living Hope”, “I Saw the Light”,
“You Are My All in All”, and “Will You Come and Follow Me?”
Members of the Praise team are Lyn Bulthuis, Mary Fedders, Joy Lee, Patrick Visscher, Steve Ver Mulm
on vocals. Bob Hughes on acoustic guitar, Bruce Smit on the trap set, Miriam Hector on the keyboard,
and Dave Hector on bongos. We couldn’t sing together without the trusty service of our sound and
video people. Jeremy Kamp prepares the slides and controls the sound system. Baze Postma oversees
the computer and videotaping for the livestreaming. We are so thankful for the faithful service of all.

Church in Sioux Center on Monday, July 29 beginning at 1:30 pm. Donations to the silent auction are
appreciated. Learn more about the Bible League International and Legacy Thrift Store. Every $5.00
raised at this event will put a Bible in the hands of those who are desperate to read the word of God in
their own language.

Hector will lead accompany the hymns “How Firm A Foundation”, “Leaning on the Everlasting Arms”,
“My Jesus, I Love Thee”, “Tell Your Children”, and “Standing on the Promises.
This Sunday we celebrate communion. We ask God for the proper spirit in which to celebrate the
sacrament that we may repent sincerely of all sin and that by it we shall be spiritually revived, and
strengthened in faith, hope, and love through Christ our Lord.

The Special Offering for the month of July is for The Gideons.
As is tradition on Sundays when we celebrate communion, we also love to contribute to The Table, a
community food supply outlet. Needs include shampoo & conditioner, dish & laundry soap, kitchen &
bathroom cleaners, canned fruit, brownie & cake mixes, jelly. Items may be place in the blue barrel in
the narthex all month long. The Table is located at Rejoice! Community Church, Le Mars. Hours are
12:00-2:00 pm on the 1 st , 4 th & 5 th Wednesdays, and every Saturday from 9:00-11:00 am.

Wow! What a week it has been at Calvin. We were so thankful for all the beautiful children that came
to SCUBA VBS! We had an offering for a charity in Le Mars called Sleep in Heavenly Peace. There was a
contest between the boys and girls to see who could collect the most money. We are pleased to report
that we collected over $1,000.00 , enough to build 4 beds, supply mattresses, mattress pads, bedding
and pillows for all 4. By the way, the girls collected the most money-making Joe Carpenter the recipient
of the whipped cream pie on the face. A fun time was had by all.

Wow! What a week it has been at Calvin. We were so thankful for all the beautiful children that came
to SCUBA VBS! A big thank you to our organizers Kaitlyn Visscher and Tessa Hofman for organizing our
time of diving into God’s Love. We had an offering for No One Sleeps on the Floor in Le Mars. There is a
contest between the boys and girls to see who collects the most money. We’ll let you know the results
next week.
We also had two weeks of leading worship at the care centers in Le Mars. We loved seeing our friends
there.
This week Sunday we will have a special offering for the flood victims in the area.

are ready to be displayed. We need help holding the ladders, babysitting the children, and hauling in
the decorations.
VBS is planned for June 24-27 in the evenings from 5:30 to 8:00 PM. beginning with a meal. The theme
this summer is SCUBA, where kids dive into friendship with God. Kids explore the Bible, science, and
faith through fun activities. Each day kids learn about God’s love, His Word, and His stories through
interactive situations. Please mark your calendars for a great time for children in our church and
community.
