This Week at Calvin

Sunday, July 17th, Calvin CRC welcomes all to a time that has been set aside for the public worship of
God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit! Worship begins at 10 AM at 326 7t St SE, Le Mars.
This Sunday Calvin celebrates communion. As we prepare to celebrate communion, we ask God for the
proper spirit in which to celebrate the sacrament that we may repent sincerely of all sin and that by it
we shall be spiritually revived, and strengthened in faith, hope, and love through Christ our Lord.
As is tradition, on communion Sundays we urge our members to contribute to the Christian Needs
Ministry. The July Needs includes pasta sauce, spaghetti noodles, juice, soup, rice, pancake mix, cereal,
pudding/jello, crackers, shampoo, toilet paper. Place items in the blue barrel in narthex.
Pastor Brian Hofman has begun a new series of sermons on the Old Testament story of Joseph. This
Sunday his text is from Genesis 38: 1 = 30. Miriam Hector will play the prelude on the piano. The songs
of praise will be accompanied by Inez Hoogeveen on the piano and Miriam Hector on the organ. Songs
of praise are: “All Who Hunger, Gather Gladly”, “I Serve A Risen Savior”, “Beneath the Cross of Jesus”,
and “Your Grace is Enough”.
A special offering will be taken for ReFrame Ministries of the Christian Reformed Church. This was
formerly the Back to God Ministries International. It is the media ministry of the Christian Reformed
church. Their mission is to proclaim the gospel, grow disciples, and strengthen the church. Together
with local churches, it ministers to 10 major world languages, using every kind of media, to share the
story of Jesus.
Services may be seen on YouTube, on our website at Calvincrclemars.org, or by listening to a CD.
