This Week at Calvin

Calvin Church, at 326 7th St SE, is thrilled to send five of their members to Israel this Friday to distribute wheelchairs to handicapped people.  Through Hope Haven, Steve and Kathy Ver Mulm, Jaclyn Ver Mulm, and Pete and Mary Attema, are helping them receive mobility for the first time in their lives.  We pray for their safety as they travel and that they may be a blessing to all.
This Sunday Calvin continues to celebrate Eastertide at worship at 10:15 a.m.  The All For Him band and singers will lead the singing of "Christ is Risen," "What A Beautiful Name", "Speak, O Lord" and "Be the Centre".  This group of musicians include Patrick Visscher, Dave Hector, Mary Fedders, Lyn Bulthuis, Miriam Hector, Bruce Smit,
Bob Hughes and Jim Viet.
Pastor Rev. Dr. Nevada De Lapp is preaching a sermon series on the book of Hebrews.  This week his message focuses on Hebrews 3: 1 - 6.
The coffee servers this week are Fred & Glenda Vollink, Usher - Mike Van Otterloo, Nursery - Cindy De Vos, Sound Syster - Mike Feenstra, Power Point - Jeremy Kamp.
Next week Wednesday, the Women's Bible Study Group meets at 6:30 PM to finish their study on Prayer written by Gayle Walhof.  They will discuss Chapters 11 & 12.  This group meets in the Fellowship Hall while the Men's Bible Study Group, studying the book of Romans, meets upstairs in the narthex at the same time.  These provide meaningful, stimulating opportunities to promote a growing relationship with Christ.  Anyone is welcomed to join either of these groups.
We welcome anyone who would like to part of a 'church family' to join Calvin as they praise God through creative and joyful worship, sound Biblical preaching, an inspiring music ministry and continual prayer.
Sincerely, Miriam Hector
