This Week at Calvin

Calvin Church offers Sunday School classes for all ages.  The elementary children meet with Kaitlyn Visser, the high school with Jaclyn Ver Mulm and the adults meet with Pastor De Lapp.  The Adult class continues to watch the movie 'Godspeed" with a study following each segment.  These classes meet at 9:00 AM in the basement of Calvin Church.  All are welcomed to join at any time.
Worship on Sundays is at 10:15 AM.  This Sunday Pastor De Lapp continues to preach from the book of Ecclesiastes in the Old Testament.  He will focus on chapter 7: 1 - 13 this week.  Other scripture readings will be from Psalm 19 and John 2: 13 - 22.  Rather than read the Psalm this week, we are planning to sing it "The Heavens Declare Your Glory". We will open worship with "When Morning Gilds the Sky" and 'Beautiful Savior".  Miriam Hector will be accompanying the hymns as well as preparing a prelude and offertory for this worship service.
The Greeters this week will be John and Judy Klocksiem, Coffee Servers - Gary and Glenda Habben, Usher - Mike Van Otterloo, Nursery - Karin DeLapp, Sound System - Bruce Smit and Power Point - Jeremy Kamp.
This Saturday Calvin participates in the Heartland Classis meeting at Immanuel CRC in Sheldon.  Two council members as well as Pastor De Lapp will represent our congregation.
This next week the Afternoon Women's Bible Study group meets at 1:30 PM.  They have a lively discussion and fellowship over a tasty dessert.  Come and join this great group of ladies.
March 11th Jesse Walhof will be preaching at Calvin.  Jesse plans to use this day as an opportunity to thank the congregation for all of their support and guidance shown to him as he traveled on the journey to becoming an ordained pastor in the CRC.  The Walhofs will have cake and coffee for the congregation after the service to show their appreciation for all that this church has done for Jesse.  Please plan to join with them in a time of fellowship and celebration after the service.
Calvin Church is located at 326 7th St SE or on the web at for past sermons and more information.
