This Week at Calvin

Calvin Christian Reformed Church at 326 7th St SE, Le Mars, prepares to celebrate communion this Sunday, January 17th at 10:00 AM. As we prepare we ask God for the proper spirit in which to celebrate the sacrament, that we may repent sincerely of all sin and that be it we shall be spiritually revived, and strengthened in faith, hope and love through Christ our Lord.
The Rev. Mark Vande Zande will be leading worship this Sunday. His message is based on Daniel 3 titled Faith Under Fire. All will be called into worship with the singing of "Come, Let Us Worship and Bow Down". The Call to Confession is from David's Psalm 52: 1 - 12. Our Assurance of Pardon is reassured through the singing of "Your Grace is Enough." As we prepare for the reading of scripture we will sing "Table of Plenty". During the distribution of elements by the elders, the congregation will sing "Behold the Lamb'> As we are sent out we will respond with "To God Be the Glory", the chorus of "My Tribute."
As is custom on Communion Sundays, we are encouraged to contribute to the Christian Needs Center. Their needs this month are: pudding, Jello, juice, hamburger helper, cereal, and jelly. Please place them in the blue barrel in the narthex.
Sunday School classes for all ages meets at 9:00 AM on Sunday.
Women's Afternoon Bible Study meets on Wednesday at 1:30 PM with Lynda Bulthuis leading us on Lesson 7 "The Beatitudes."
All are welcomed to join us for worship and the study of God's Holy Word.
